Rental of the Day: 561 Henry Street
We like the looks of this two-bedroom brownstone rental at 561 Henry Street in Carroll Gardens. Everything appears to be in fine shape, the listing brags over 1,300 square feet of space, there’s a dishwasher, and heat and hot water is included in the rent. (Which is $3,000 a month, by the way.) True, NYGuy7. There’s not an awful lot of rough trade wandering the streets of BoCoCa!!!
The only reason I bring it up was becuase where he lived had nothing to do with why he was killed.
To those who don’t know Carroll Gardens, this apartment’s location is quite good despite the walk to the subway. Henry St. between President and Carroll is no farther than most prime CG homes and some people would prefer being there than right off Smith Street.
Don’t know what people are paying now, but it does seem as if standard 1+ bedroom floor through rentals are now often over $2,000, depending on the condition. And this is definitely larger than a floor of a typical CG brownstone. If you have a kid, you also have the advantage of a good neighborhood public school.
There’s rough trade and then there’s rough trade. I guess he wasn’t a very good judge of character. Sorry to hear that he was killed.
It may be close to 1,300 sq ft. I looked it up on PS and they said 25′ x 62′
He was murdered DIBS
“Overall I don’t think the price is too bad”
REALLY?! I don’t think this is anywhere near reasonable. No, I don’t. It’s a completely mediocre apartment in a good, but not perfect location. Oh, wait… it includes a $350 appliance in the kitchen!
“Overall I don’t think the price is too bad – unless the bedbug stuff is true.”
According to Webers own site: “Happily, and thanks to my landlord and a reputable exterminator, they no longer exist.”
So, that’s up for a renter to decide.
Do tell, Maly!!!!
