You gotta love the front courtyard of the Mansion House, the 107-unit co-op at 145 Hicks Street in Brooklyn Heights. The interior of this one-bedroom in the building is not as impressive, but it has some understated prewar charm. (Just don’t look at the kitchen.) The layout is nice, too, with a good-sized bedroom and ample closet space. The monthly maintenance of $770 is quite reasonable for 800 square feet in a doorman building. Not so sure about the asking price of $545,000. Waddya think?

  1. Not my favorite Corcoran broker. She totally ignored me at one of her Open Houses in Mansion House. As Julia Roberts said in Pretty Woman, “Big mistake. Huge.” I could’ve paid cash for the damn apartment, but now I avoid her listings like bubonic plague.

I’m calling B.S. on this post. I find it impossible to believe you were ignored after wearing thigh-high leather boots with 4 inch heels to an open house.

re: Direct sunlight – I think third floor will get light. I’ve walked Hicks late in the afternoon and noticed the bottom two floors on the east side of the street won’t ever get light, third floor it depends on the time of day. With the courtyard set back, you get light this time of year (when you appreciate it even more)…but maybe not so much in the summer months, eh?
