For a house that is described in the listing as “flawless and gracious,” 105 St. Marks Avenue could do with some more photos. (Update: When we wrote this up on Friday there were only four small photos. They’ve got a lot more up now!) Sure, the three interior shots provided look nice, but for all we know the rest of the house could be a warren of small rooms with dropped ceilings and recessed lighting! Seriously though, show us your stuff, especially when you are asking $2,500,000 for a house in Prospect Heights, a bold move in this market. We’re not saying this couldn’t be a $2,500,000 house, but we need a little more convincing.

  1. Minard, I was about to post something to the effect that people would like this house, specifically, these pictures a lot more if it was tastefully furnished the way you describe…like my place.

  2. Since no one is paying any atention to my posts today (I now know how Rob feels) I will bid adieu with the following:

Once the rooms are furnished and floors covered with persian carpets and other area rugs, the gleam on the floor, visible in sections, will look correct. These houses are sophisticated city dwellings. They are not New England farmhouses with dull plank flooring.

This certainly does not look like a careless renovation to me, in the contrary it looks rather well done.

  3. It costs about 7 cents for a coke which is sold for $1.50-2.00.

A CD costs $1.27 to make including the case.

Think about that when you talk about outlandish FLIP jobs.

Cause it’s much more prevalent in the products you buy everyday…MUCH MORE SO than on homes…
