$1,650,000 isn’t a very high price for a four-story house in Fort Greene, so we’re not particularly optimistic about what this four-family at 179 Adelphi Street must look like on the inside. (The lack of photos ain’t helping either.) The listing does cite the existence of original details though, so maybe it’s not so bad. Has anyone been inside?

  1. “sometimes it seems like every brownstone is getting snapped up by somebody in the opera industry.”

Haha. True enough. But I do have at least 4 or 5 colleagues (some are managers for dance companies and two manage classical musicians) all own brownstones in Park Slope. We are rare, but not as rare as you might think…

  2. “anybody have anything to say about the house?”

What more is there to be said about the house – it has no interior pics, no floorplan, no info on the status of the tenants. Should we just continure arguing whether this house, for which we know nothing about, is overpriced?

  3. Yo opera man.

I’m slowly starting to appreciate classical music. I particularly like Andreas Scholl. Do you have any idea whether he ever performs in NYC?

    Amazing voice. thx.
