1:41 is also a perfect example of two people who work in professions which are almost exclusively based in nyc. good for them for getting paid handsomely for doing what they love.

175K as an annual income is far from average, thats 350K combined, very few couples make that kind of income. Not to mention the 20% downpayment. 1.6 mill is a bit crazy for todays market but someone will buy it.
I don’t think I’m better at all. I was just stating that for us, 1.6 million is totally doable. We don’t work on Wall Street, neither of us come from money, we both put ourselves through college and graduate school and work in professions we love. What exactly is wrong with that? Aren’t I allowed to comment the same way people who say that everything is overpriced are allowed to comment? Or is it only acceptable to comment on this website if I’m struggling and making 30K a year?

As for the price and the lack of interior photos, I expect there will be issues getting the tenants out.
It’s not elitist. 1:41 didn’t say he was a better person than you. He just said he makes some money like a lot of NYers do. That’s why houses in frt greene are usually priced well over 1.6.
1.65 reflects the proximity to the projects. It’s priced high like everything else in this market. Although the pool of suckers is shrinking daily, it still smothers the small but slowly rising inventory. It goes for within 10% of ask.
