  1. Wawa is basically a chain convenience store, but not as trashy as say 7-11 or as lame as a Duane Reade. They offer standard bodega products amongst other things, and usually have delis where you can order sandwiches. They’re fairly common in Jersey and PA.

  2. rob, you don’t understand the issue.

    bodegas sell sub par crap at overly high prices. They sell mostly junk food and Boars Head cold cuts. Where they do actually sell staples (flour, soup, etc) they are overpriced vs. supermarkets.

    It’s not an issue of legislating what people should be eating but actually giving them MORE OPTIONS and at lower prices.
