Brooklyn burger lovers rejoice: Shake Shack has finally decided to shack up in our borough. The Daily News reported yesterday the popular burger and shake joint will be in the Fulton Mall next year. While it would have been cool to see them in the old Gage and Tollner spot, the restaurant will be moving into Tony’s Famous Pizza at the corner of Fulton and Adams, right outside of the Jay Street subway. Seems like a fail-proof location to us. Shake Shack is just the latest of new arrivals to the Fulton Mall; Filene’s, SYMS, H&M and Aeropostal are also on the roster. Think Fulton Mall could be Brooklyn’s next destination spot?

  1. There is only a line at the Shake Shakes in Manhattan during the lunch rush. The rest of the times, it’s really not a huge deal if you just go a little earlier or a little later.

Dibs, if the place were run by super hot Mexican dudes, you’d probably wait in line. Everybody has their vice.

And hey…I don’t want to wait in a line either if I don’t have to, but doesn’t the line signify that it’s a popular place? Why is there so much judgment about what people want to buy?

“they need to start serving salad.”

It’s a burger joint for god’s sake. Get in your Subaru and drive to a vegan place.

(PS Jose is finishing my floors today!!!!)

  3. I miss May’s dept store.
    But I still love Modell’s.
The street construction on Willoughby/Jay seems finished….does that mean the transfer from Jay St. to Lawrence will open soon?
Biggest eyesore is the TA or MTA bldg. that isn’t being used anymore above the Jay St. station.

  4. It’s not fast food. You have to order the Shack Burger, not a plain one. They’re really good, the fries are terrible, and they need to start serving salad. It’s really unhealthy and I feel sick whenever I eat there.
