the mere fact that gem worked in the music industry doing MARKETING shows the vast difference btw music in the US and China.
-sorry, but what do you mean??
I have worked both in both sides of marketing:
meaning I have tried to break NON-US acts in the US with little success and I have broken US ACTS with MUCH success in major markets as well as surprise markets.
Talk to me about Korea! – they LOVE US acts and not just the Beyonces of the world – but the real oddball US indie bands. and please Asia LOVES LOVES John Mayer
“OH NO! cobble, you didn’t!!! You brought him in your tote bag? You didn’t bury him like you promised?????”
I DID NOT bring him in my tote bag, or poke him with one of DIBS most impressive phallus’ collection items. (I believe someone described some of them as “aspirational!” SNORT!) If I did, I may or may not have dropped him off the balcony in the back. And IF I did, cause I’m not admitting anything, his little elf body can be found in DIBS backyard.
“I disagree that the Chinese were so great before Communism. Their empire was rotting and falling in on itself well before Mao came along.”
True. In fact, it could be argued that Mao came to power precisely because he railed against the rot and corruption that was pervasive in China at that time.
“Cobble you admitted giving the elf the cookie that caused his heart attack.”
BSM, As I said before, you’re dead to me.
It WASN’T a cookie, it was a nutritious health snack! That little bugger was eating crap day in and day out, and needed to improve his diet!
(And that’s all I have to say on the matter today…real life calls… : ( )
MM, I’ve heard some of the kids look like Cargar, others look like Arkady….hmmmmm!

American egocentrism never fails to amaze me.
Coming from a country that never invented anything other than maybe the snowmobile, I understand your contempt.

lechacal- you need to visit Peking. For starters. Are you denying Chinese history?
Cobble, so you admit to having a previous history of violence towards the elf? That won’t play well for you during the trial!
