And in your usual eagerness to slap me down, benson you refuse to answer my question. Yet you continually condemn everyone and everything- I doubt you understand the basic concept of social programs because you don’t believe in the concept of the greater good, only I got mine, you get yours.
And you continually forget one of my favorite sayings, “there but for fortune.” I’ve been on both ends of the economic spectrum- trust me, you can believe you can control your life and then you find out you can’t.
cobble, i have an alternative plan for you. dont bother looking for a job or a career. just go out and find some baby daddy’s to knock you up a few times. you wont have to worry about healthcare as it will be covered for the most part, and youll even get super reduced housing AND free food! you might have to kick in a little rent, but it’s so miniscule that you could easily just sleep with one of your baby daddy’s again and ask him for a 20 spot.
what? you dont want to live in the projects? you think you are better than that? NO PROBLEM! you can get a section 8 voucher and live your dreams of moving to the suburbs!
jeez i dont know why people are complaining so much when the answers to life’s hardships are right there on the table for them!
Congrats, M4L. Surprisingly they look pretty good! A few weeks ago I told a friend the only thing that could help the Mets was prayer. Now they’re actually hot! Who’d thunk it?
Are we allowed to discuss religions and their role in large families?

look up how Octamom paid for her giant brood.
Hint, it wasn’t out of pocket, unless you consider the taxpayers a community pocket.

“I am not against the idea of a social safety net. However, what I don’t believe in is an entitlement.”
I don’t get the difference except in the semantics. If you don’t pay for, it’s an entitlement. All entitlements are part of the ‘social safety net’.
Thanks Legion, but I already have an Orthopedic Surgeon and I’m getting operated on in a few weeks. Perdida is the one looking.

“For every right, there is a responsibility”.
This thought is not what guides our social programs today. Instead, we have an entitlement mentality.
So true, so true.
