“I never would have gotten to where I am today without the kindness of these strangers, and I don’t forget it. I believe in giving back.”
And yet, you sound so resentful to me whenever the subject of health insurance or others social safety net conversations come up. You’ve worked hard, you’ve achieved much, and you’ve been given much. I’m still trying to sort out where the resentment/anger comes from. It’s just curious to me.
And what happens to those who flunked out? Did anyone check why they got bad grades? I would have been out in no time. Would your school have checked to see what the reason was or should all deaf and hard of hearing students just be tossed out?
What’s your point? Only give an education to those who can make good grades? Just forget about the rest? Considering how many talented, successful people (think Einstein in high school our own lechacal)Becawould have been tossed out in the dumpster, that’s a piss poor concept of social responsibility. use there is social responsibility. It’s necessary when humans live together in a society.
“”it is not fair to ask who paid for Octamom’s 12 kids,
who the father is, if she is even fit for parenthood and what effects her irresponsibility will have on her children.”
Are we allowed to discuss religions and their role in large families?
Jeremy Irons was also GREAT as Claus von Bulow in Reversal of Fortune, for which I believe he won the Oscar. Not sure if he was also nominated for Dead Ringers.

There should be a parade for Gay Conservatives. A Parade or One?
“2) Rob is right – it does seem to be “acceptable” / PC to make jokes about some religions but not others.”
Well, the rule of thumb is that it is OK to make fun of your own race/religion, but not another’s. I make fun of white people all the time.
