  1. Cobble;

    One more point. As I have pointed out in some previous posts, I have been the beneficiary of free, top-notch HS, college and Grad school educations, all through the generosity of people before me who left endowments. I never would have gotten to where I am today without the kindness of these strangers, and I don’t forget it. I believe in giving back.

    Having said that, I want to point out the key difference between my educational experience and current governmental programs. Be it at Regis or Cooper, we were always reminded that we had been accorded this privilege, and we therefore had a responsibility to do well. Not only was it said, it was enforced. In both schools, if you have more than 2 D’s in a row, you were OUT the door. More than 30% of the freshman class didn’t make it through to senior year.

    THAT is not an entitlement.

  2. Not all Israelis believe that- read Ha’aretz for better insight, not Faux news. Netanyahu’s administration put the US in a very bad position and the announcement was a slap in the face to Biden. If Netanyahu wants dinner in the White House, maybe he needs to consider just how much America puts on the line for Israel. If no one stands against the far right extremists who want to take over, we’ll keep going down this disastrous, people-killing course. If a perceived slight from the President wakes them up, more power to him.
