Legion, I in no way meant to suggest that you lack humanistic qualities. If I offended you, I apologize. Again, my only point is that severe poverty is here.
sorry, but I think Stevie was pointing out what he felt was irony, DIBs, not an ad hominem attack. Plenty of rightwing politicians use social issues as wedge issue to get votes.
And Benson, too, getting little pissy when nobody attacked your personal patriotism but the irony of how ‘patriotism’ to get votes for political party and then make it easier and more profitable to export jobs by corporations that seem to care less and less about this country.
Snappy ’09! I amking my own lapel pin out of office supplies as we speak…
Legion, people that work hard are due something, they are due the fair vaule of their labor. not everyone has a chance to do more than unskilled or low-skilled jobs, and thats not because they’re lazy or don’t ‘learn from their mistakes.’
Legion, I will assume they get free schooling. I won’t guess as to medical care and food. As for shelter, I wish you could see their ‘shelter.’ It’s a crying shame. The only thing I mean to suggest by my comment is that real poverty, the likes of which most of you have never laid eyes on, does exist right here in this country. It is so easy to sit back with our education and our few dollars in the bank and tell others to just get off their ass and get out of squalor-level living situations without having a single iota of a clue as to what it would take to do so. Armchair economics and politics don’t do shit except put more hot in into the room.
As a city and state taxpayer who can’t vote, can someone vote for Bloomers for me?

Yay! More votes! We gotta hit the campaign trail ladies 🙂
lol,
blowfish,
so now you are saying that we are failing because we don’t have mechanisms for a revolution?

oh please- the only people questioning anyone’s patriotism were thankfully voted out of office in the last election.
I’m voting for Snappy, too. Lessee, that makes how many? Ladies we got some work to do!
Cobble, break out the folding chairs.
