Yeah, bx, I’ve gone a little nuts here, too. Lots of us have. I didn’t mean excitable as a pejorative for either you or benson, although you guys did win the award. You guys really get into it, sometimes. I think there is a way that the words, in black and white, without facial expressions or intonations, make it easy for electronic discussions to escalate.
Oh, and, in some ways, especially when it comes to financial markets, Canada is definitely an extension of the US. But in other ways, it is noticeably different.
Kens, you are definitely right and I recognize the Canadian system has it’s share of flaws too. I just think overall that, despite the very real concerns and problems you rightly mentioned, it results in greater access to healthcare for a much larger percentage of the population. I’ll still take it, blemishes and all, over the US system.

arkady- wasn’t that China? If biff is representative of Canada, they’re still asleep 🙂
– if elected I will not serve.
Just like the old regime.
Didn’t he spring full-grown from the loins of the sleeping giant? (In 5th grade geography, Canada was always referred to as The Sleeping Giant.)
I’m organizing a Birthers Movement to investigate President Biff. I don’t think he was born here. the evidence is as clear as the nose on his face.
If chosen I will not run, if elected I will not serve.
Arkady for President! Slopefarm for Vice President!
Wait, what the hell did I just say?
