Open Thread

Benson, honestly, you take things that aren’t even directed to you personally, and then complain that people are making ad hominem attacks. I said the other day I wasn’t going to debate politics, because it served no purpose, and no one was going to change their minds. I fail to see how that is either hall monitoring, or even more absurd, some kind of personal attack on you, or anyone else. It was only my voiced personal opinion to not want to engage in your Obama bashing. Today in the housing thread, you found yourself outnumbered in the thread, although Joe is closer to you on point than others, and instead of debating points, which was going on pretty civilly, you get all in a huff over imagined personal slights and huff off to the What’s blog to complain that we were being politically correct.

I don’t care if you disagree with me. I don’t care if you agree with me. I enjoy debating with anyone, and having the opportunity to express my opinions, and stating my case. I happen to think I do it decently well. For some reason, it really bothers you that other people agree with me, and yes, you do take that personally. That is your issue, not mine. If it floats your boat to think that we have hall monitors, or to call bxgrl, myself and others “sandy vaginas”, and yuk it up with your new buddy, the What, on his little blog, go right ahead. You might want to remember that that is the same guy who said some pretty personal and unflattering things to you in the not so distant past. It’s nice to see that you can forgive and forget, and bond over your mutual hatred of Brownstoner, preservationists, and those of us that like both him and the blog, and don’t plan on doing anything different in the future.
