All the units, except for the penthouses, are rented out at 80 Dekalb. But the Brownstoner Marketplace has a studio rental by owner if you’re kicking yourself for missing the boat. Obviously everything’s pretty new and shiny, and this unit is way up on the 35th floor. We’ll also say this looks much more spacious than your average studio. But the rent goes for $2,130 a month, sans broker fee, and it’s only for ten months with option to renew. Sounds like someone got transferred right after renting this place!

  1. Well if people would not rent these studios at 2k, then there would be a lot of vacancies, ummm, maybe then, the prices would be reduced….

    but no, people keep renting them so that is why we have the prices we have today.

    same thing with buying, if you did not buy a studio for 500k, same thing.

  2. 80 Dekalb Ave. is owned by Forest City Ratner, and I sincerely doubt they are advertising one studio rental on Brownstoner, making this a probable sublet, or maybe someone trying to get out of his/her lease. Definitely sketchy AND overpriced.

  4. I wouldn’t care if a studio apartment was right next door to my office, and all the other amenities in life, I would NEVER spend 2K on a freaking studio apartment.
    That is just, (like I said before)…retarded………………
