You just changed your tune, Jones…obviously someone that doesn’t like their bids shot down.
Have any of you morons who think you know everything actually been in the house??!! Well, I have and it needs work.
If I had to guess, Jones, I’d say that the fact that Greene is a major street, and like most of it’s kind, there is a great deal of traffic during the day (but relatively quite at night like most of the neighboring roads), there are a number of high schools in the general vicinity of the property and given that it’s on a major street there may be more loitering around the property then desired, and may not be appealing at that price for that reason.
But then, I’m an informed ‘shopper’, and you obviously are not given your juvenile bashing tactics and previous response.
There are a lot of pictures on the Brooklyn Properties website about Greene Street. All of them look great.
I can’t see how this house needs a ton? of work. Looks like move-in condition!!!
Now that you mention it, Anon 2:47, I think you’re probably right.
You’re right, it’s none of my damn business! You’ve illuminated me now and I feel absolutely shamed to have asked such a stupid question. I see exactly how it works now. Wow. Thank you for explaining to me why that property has been on the market for six months. Have a nice day!
It sounds to me like Jones actually wants to buy Greene street.
The comment about the lady not giving in is the clue.
He/She’s bashing it because he/she doesn’t want to see any buyers.
Too bad Jones. This property is a gem!
Jones,
That’s an idiotic question and irrelevant to my point.
Since you have obviously missed it, let me reiterate in a clearer fashion:
Stop knocking properties because they’re multi-family and would be costly to convert into a single family.
And, although it’s none of your business, I think Greene is absolutely beautiful, but it’s not MY ideal.
See how that works…just because it doesn’t fit your definition of the perfect buy, doesn’t mean you bash it. Safe the bashing for sh*tty reno’s and crumbling bones/facades.
Totally disagree with early poster on the reasons for a discount on Bergen St. It sas to be something with the building. Dean, Pacific and Bergen are all near projects but are also all good and safe streets. The house is 3 blocks from the Bergen St. F station and and 4 Blocks from 4th Avenue/Pacific Street entrance to the 2,3,4,5 etc. Has to be something to do with the house. The lack of photos is usually a sign of that.
