If you like the idea of living in a floor of a brownstone in the Central Slope, this two-bedroom at 790 President Street is probably worth a look. If you can handle the railroad format, you’ll find a nicely restored apartment with lots of original moldings along with some stained glass. At $590, the monthly maintenance is manageable and the asking price of $669,000 seems right down the middle. The first open house was yesterday. Did anyone go?

  1. “do you think your state of mind had anything to do with his attractiveness?”

Nah, you know some people seem to be out of it when they get high, but I’m high functioning. No impaired judgment when it comes to stuff like this…now my EYESIGHT…THAT’S another story, but that has nothing to do with my state of mind. Next time, I’m wearing my glasses on my evening constitutionals. 🙂

  2. Babs:

Key food is on 7th and Carroll…

    Not President.

President has Haagen Daaz on one corner, Citibank on another, Astoria Savings on the other and Eyeglass store on the other….

  3. This is not a townhouse (and it’s yellow brick with brownstone accents) – it’s your typical left/right apartment building – there are many like this in Park Slope (and elsewhere). The problem is you get a long, narrow apartment, and those windows in the middle look out on an airshaft, so there’s not a lot of light there. Good location, except for the Key Food on the corner of Seventh Avenue – truck entry on President St. and rats.
