Co-op of the Day: 790 President Street, #2L
If you like the idea of living in a floor of a brownstone in the Central Slope, this two-bedroom at 790 President Street is probably worth a look. If you like the idea of living in a floor of a brownstone in the Central Slope, this two-bedroom at 790 President Street is probably worth a look. If you can handle the railroad format, you’ll find a nicely restored apartment with lots of original moldings along with some stained glass. At $590, the monthly maintenance is manageable and the asking price of $669,000 seems right down the middle. The first open house was yesterday. Did anyone go?

I agree with you Dave, but it’s still not something to joke about. It was a terrible crime. I hope none of you have to walk down the street in your neighborhood and see a dead body with pools of blood all over the place.
No one should exit the world like that.
I think why people aren’t sympathizing with is the fact that this guy had multiple arrests for violent offenses and it came out that he was fighting and wielding a baseball bat against someone (probably one of these guys) earlier that evening.
As someone posted in another thread, this was just a bunch of neanderthals fighting amongst themselves over something they were all involved in and not a random act of violence which, as the poster said, puts people at ease. Whether that is good or bad is a different discussion.
Considering I saw what happened and was the first person to call the police, I don’t find it funny to joke about.
At all.
It was a horrific scene.
You have a very odd sense of humor, M4L.
It is actually a 2br + office…the pink room functions as 2nd child’s bedroom (not an actual bedroom)
caught my snapper. what else can I fish easily
So we’re making light of a gruesome killing of a 22 year old already?
Wow.
for all the buyers, wait for another incident so park slope can be viewed as dangerous
Well, BHO, I think often you hurt your arguments by refusing to back it up with facts, but I still think you have a good point. I hope sometimes in the not too distant future, we can look back at this thread and wonder that people considered $669K an OK deal for a narrow railroad 1br + office apartment.
“BHO isn’t really a buyer.”
At these unsustainable, fundamentally disconnected, near top-of-the-market prices? No shit.
“he’s just in it for the attention”
The recurring attention. Thanks for your continued support.
