If you like the idea of living in a floor of a brownstone in the Central Slope, this two-bedroom at 790 President Street is probably worth a look. If you can handle the railroad format, you’ll find a nicely restored apartment with lots of original moldings along with some stained glass. At $590, the monthly maintenance is manageable and the asking price of $669,000 seems right down the middle. The first open house was yesterday. Did anyone go?

  1. Wow 11217, that must have been very frightening to have stumbled upon that scene. The man also had a wife/girlfriend who is 8 months pregnant. His family was originally from Park Slope, but moved down to Sunset Park a few years ago.

Now, as to this apartment, I’d be happy in it as a single male. Not $669K happy, but happy.

  2. 11217, wow did you really witness it?! i think i would have been terrified if i had seen that. i nearly pooped my pants in harlem watching two girls rip each other’s braids out playing in the open fire hydrants! of course it was entertaining as hell, until it looked like it was gonna escalate, then i just ran.

    *rob*

  3. I’m happy to admit to being wrong when I am wrong.

You made what I considered to be an inappropriate comment (maybe others don’t agree…that’s fine) and then tried to change the subject and say something about me. And I just looked for evidence of what you say, and couldn’t find it.

I don’t care anymore, but this is exactly whey I don’t want to do meetups with you people. People who think that someone getting murdered is a joke is not someone I care to spend time with in real life and I’m beginning to wonder why I even bother here.

  4. I just looked up the threads on the most recent rapes in Clinton Hill (both were threads in June) and I didn’t make a single comment on either thread.

I certainly wouldn’t have made a joke out of a horrific crime.

  5. 11217, my memory recall is pretty solid and I wasn’t expecting you to admit anything – ie you’ve NEVER admit to anything so why I would expect otherwise. you will say anything to win an argument and NEVER admit when you’re wrong.
