Condo of the Day: Montauk Club Mega-Spread
Wow. Could this 4,000-square-foot spread at The Montauk Club be the coolest apartment in all of Brooklyn? If it had outdoor space it would be a lay-up. As is, though, the entire floor of the historic club is pretty darn impressive, with its 45-foot-long ballroom and original leaded glass windows, mahogany wainscotting and inlaid mosaic…

We should all sign up and have weekly Brownstoner meetings where Team Bull and Team Bear challenge each other in pool, chess, cribbage, or whatever else it is people play at social clubs, while Team Sidelines (my team) leans at the bar with a drink and watches. 😛

And the building’s mix is odd – you have to make your way through the lobby past the AA meetings and kids birthday parties.
i guess this place would be perfect for a rich alcoholic pedophile then!
*r*
I assume the club sold it back “8-10 years ago” when Ringo said he looked at it. I bet they’re regretting having made that decision!!!!
Yes, cw, not bad. I did find it interesting that they have an affiliation with The Baguio Country Club, Baguio City, the Philippines!!!!!! Hmmmmmmm.
I would actually love to plan a small chamber music series here…
I know (and covet) this PHENOMENAL apartment. I agree w/NorthHeights about what something like this could fetch in Manhattan. But, the building has a separate entrance/elevator for the residents. Club is on the 1st/2nd floors, this pad IS THE ENTIRE 3RD FLOOR and the 4th floor is divided into 4 residential duplexes…
Wow, those yearly fees on the club aren’t actually too bad. I figured it was a rich people’s club for rich people who are rich.
Oh my god!
I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it I want it!!!!
Who needs a yard – Prospect Park is right there! What’s not to like about any of it? I believe it will go close to ask also.
