This week, a look back at four of our featured listings from six months ago focuses on homes in Sunset Park, Madison, Prospect Heights, and Clinton Hill. How did they fare?
This attractive Sunset Park one-bedroom, while compact, has appealing original features, a nicely updated minimalist kitchen, and appears to be in move-in condition. It’s on the third floor of 531 41st Street, a 40-unit, four-story co-op across from Sunset Park. This former Co-op of the Day entered contract in August.
In Madison, this early 20th century brick rowhouse hasn’t changed hands since the 1990s. The two-family is in estate condition and has a garage. This former Open House Pick entered contract in August.
An 1870s Italianate brownstone is in the Prospect Heights Historic District. Set up as a single-family, it has a renovated kitchen with a wall of glass on the garden floor. There is also central air and a gas fireplace. This former Open House Pick sold in September for $4.8 million, which was $195,000 under the asking price.
This Clinton Hill corner manse has a fair number of the design hallmarks associated with Brooklyn architect Montrose Morris, and its lush details have apparently been appreciated by location scouts as it has some movie and TV credits on its resume, according to the listing. This former House of the Day is still available for $6.2 million, a price cut of $300,000.
