The 2,550-square-foot brick house at 20 Grace Court Alley closed on Friday for $2,995,000, about 9 percent less than the original asking price but about 9 percent more than the average widget appraisal of $2,758,887. It doesn’t get much more charming than this.

  1. 11217, I would like to meet you. Minard too, although maybe in different parts of the room, for your sakes. I think both of you are intelligent and interesting people that I would enjoy talking to. I agree with you on this issue, too, btw.

  2. As someone once said to me, I respect your choice but I feel you’re missing out.

However, there’s always another day. My email is hi.infinitejester at gmail BTW. Let me know next time you go to Bark.

  3. Infinitejester… do you have any friends that work with “large gifts” in a development office at a non-profit or university? Once we know the name on the deed, anyone worth his/her salt in such a job will be able to find out all you’d like to know. A good part of “large gifts” is developing prospects which is basically creepy snooping around to find out (1) how rich is he/she? (2) do they have an affinity to my sort of organization, and (3) how much of their riches would they potentially cough up to me?

  4. Dave and Infinite,

Honestly I was getting to the point of being very interested in meeting up for one of the gatherings, but people here (Rob, Minard etc) have been so incredibly rude to me that I no longer have any interest.

  5. Yes, 11217, please join us tomorrow night. It is a laid back time and we reminisce about how fun posting is and how certain threads are so well written. It is not in any way a taxing or tense outing.

What I find far more interesting is speculating or more hopefully finding out who the people who bought this are, and what they do, what they’re lifestyle is like, etc.

That I would be very curious to learn, for this and for places in general.

  6. no, dave, he’ll be too busy sweeping his block, going on errands for the elderly, and buying new 300 dollar yoga pants to fight the power and shop locally. oh yeah and handing out bitch pins on the leafy streets to anyone who doesnt fit in his rigid brain motif.
