I gotta hand to Mr. B. This is the 3rd (I actually had thought there was a 4th) thread on that same damn wall, and every time it generates a lot of posts.
(I also gotta hand it to *rob* for the sheer number of threads that go off the rails and become about him.)
Bob, great way to get rid of that shame is to buy all PLUSAs drinks at the next get together. :o)
11217 – really she won 12 grammy’s not in one year though right?
That’s ok, bob. We’ll just have to smack you silly when you come to the next one 🙂
I have an admission somewhat similar to Benson’s. While I’m slightly less decoupled from pop culture and know who Nora Jones is, I’m much more decoupled from Brownstoner culture [which, after all, is FAR more important] and have only a vague idea what “PLUSA” means.
I’ll go hang my head in shame now, full of guilt from only attending the first Brownstoner get together and almost never reading the OT threads.
Rob, did someone put a fly in your coffee this morning? Damn. You are negative on every thread today. I’m waiting for you to go over to the Walkabout piece and complain about white buildings.
Real celebs expect to be discussed, like it or not, but discussed for what they may do, perhaps – just for being, I don’t think so. You seem to hate her merely for being successful and having a child. That’s totally irrational. She didn’t win a grammy because of her father, she won on her own talent. No one said you or anyone else has to like her music, but as a fellow human being, give her her due for her success. She works hard, and deserves that much.
“May I reveal how completely decoupled I am from pop culture? I haven’t the foggiest idea who Norah Jones is.” (benson)
Heehee, yes, you may.
