Last week we spotted the first window being punched out chez Norah Jones. This week, Lost City passes by and finds there are now three holes in the wall. The excitement builds.

  1. DH,

Here’s Tears For Fear’s late 80’s hit Mad World
which was redone by Gary Jules for the Donnie Darko
    soundtrack (great version).
I love this original version though and if you
watch the video and compare it to MGMT’s
Kid’s video for example or Time to Pretend, there is definitely some sort of connection between the two. I think, it maybe an underlying sadness. check out Change
    also, classic from 82′.

  2. I can’t completely explain this, but I think whoever it was above is wrong about Taylor Swift. I think it will become clear that she is the real thing. I have nothing to really back that with except a feeling which is kind of crazy since I know almost nothing about music. But check back in 10 years.

  3. Half of my list are within the last 20 years.

I guess we have different ideas of successful, Lesbiman. While Sheena Easton may not be my fave, she WAS successful. And Tony Braxton has sold 48 million records worldwide. That’s success, whether you personally like her or not.

“Easton is a international two-time Grammy Award winner and achieved 7 Gold albums and 1 Platinum and has sold over 4 million albums in the US alone, and over 20 million records worldwide. She has recorded 16 studio albums, released 23 singles, and has 15 Top 40 hits on the US Billboard Hot 100.

Sheena Easton is the only artist in the history of the US Billboard charts to have a top 3 hit on each of the Billboards key charts: Adult Contemporary, Dance, Pop, Country, and R&B.”
