Vendor Warning: Bensonhurst Construction and Roofing

I just wanted to warn people away from using Bensonhurst Construction and Roofing (who are, unfortunately, a listed vendor on this site).  Not only do they do shoddy work but they have completely failed to honor their warranty given on our building.  Despite acknowledging their warranty, we spent over 4 weeks trying to schedule them to come to fix the leak in our roof.  After each call, they would either miss the day they said they would come (without calling) or they would simply say that they were busy and would get back to use and then would not call us back.  Eventually, I began calling every day which culminated in me being hung up on.  Now, they simply will not return my calls. I realize that they are busy but believe that you have an obligation to honor your warranties before taking on new business.  If you want your roof done well, want to work with people who are not rude, and want people who will honor their warranties, do not use this vendor.

Yes if they’re a member of the BBB then complain to the BBB. That will probably do the track, but only if they’re a member. From their lousy business behavior I doubt that they belong to the BBB. Assuming they are licensed, and your building is four family or less, complain to the NYC Dept of Consumer Affairs. If all else fails or is undoable, then small claims court.
