Mini Split Compressor placement
Hello all I’m faced with finding the legality of placing an A/C compressor on the street side of our attached walkup coop. Is there any city guidelines that people can steer me towards that would talk about this? I’ve attached a picture of a mockup of the preferred location but I’m not yet clear if this is legal. Thanks for any advice.

It’s looking like back yard might be a better idea. I just searched the code and can only find definitive answers for Single and 2 family houses. Not multifamily.

I think it also has to a certain distance from a residential building

I am 99% positive there is a law about how far they have to be from the lot line and that it includes that the compressor must be hidden by bushes or trees (I remember this because I thought it was a very specific requirement.) When I looked into this, it took me about half an hour of Googling to figure out, so I’m sure the information is available somewhere fairly accessible.
