Homeowner's Insurance - Pure, Chubb, others?

I’m looking at my homeowners on my pretty original and updated brownstone and am looking for anyone’s experience good or bad with chubb, pure, liberty mutual or any others. Also, has anyone ever rented their place out for short or long periods of time and maintained the same insurance policy? Thanks, David
