Let’s hope this is not indicative of what’s to come in the summer months…1010 Wins reported that three teenagers were shot and seriously wounded yesterday afternoon near the intersection of Franklin and President Streets in Crown Heights. The three teens were shot at by a gunman on the roof of a building. The shooting happened at 3:30 p.m.—just as school children were probably on their way home. Great. Update: Looks like there was also a triple-shooting on East 16th Street last night. Ugh.

  1. Moreteasir is right! President & Brooklyn (6 BLOCKS AWAY) is well patrolled. The police can even be seen patrol the ally ways in the area. Why isn’t President and Franklyn being patrolled? There is clearly a problem!

  2. crew = bunch of thugs
gang = centralized leadership (most of the times) or some sort of hierarchy in place.

No one ever watches the show “Gangland” on tv?

  3. DIBS I just think it’s ridiculous with all of the gangs and the guns. If they like gangs so much, let’s put them at Rikers where they can enjoy being gang raped. They’re cowards.

How’d you make out with that door btw? I’m still looking for one and plan on going to that salvage guy in Clinton hill over off of Greene.

TD – “cops on foot patrol???”

Tons of them over by me around President & Brooklyn.

And we’re always on the hunt for 11217’s crew to give them a good, quick smackdown.

  6. TD,

there’s actually a fairly strong police foot presence on that stretch. i often see two or three cops on the corner of franklin and eastern parkway.
