The expansion of the 5th Avenue Associated between Union and President is nearly finished, and workers say the bigger store should be in business within the next few weeks. Associated took over the two storefronts next door, the old Beso restaurant space and the late, lamented Donuts coffee shop, for its expansion. A new awning was being installed on the building yesterday morning.

Hey bxgrl. Yes, there’s a Key Food on Atlantic. I’ve been to it a couple of times. I definitely think it’s a bit better than the Montague store, which IS the one I was discussing, so we’re on the same page. But I can usually get what I need at the other places I mentioned.
Yes, there was an article on the supermarkets dwindling in the city not long ago. Fortunately, BH and the surrounding areas does have good options (forgot to mention Peas ‘n Pickles on Pineapple Walk too). Good to see you back!
