Slopie, it might well have been Charlie Sheen. But Charlie isn’t bailing out half of Europe. This f@#ker actually could have diplomatic immunity because YES he was on IMF business. It is an archaic rule on the books, but it is legally possible although his “immunity” is more restricted than that of diplomats.
well, then you should be interested in this brownstoner posted earlier.
Cuban Social Dancing at BAM
especially since dance challenged – and I don’t think you need to wear heals to attend.
But of course there are those on OT will begin to call you a socialist if know Cuban Social dancing.
[dontella taking a deep breath and changing the subject]
I went to see King Lear with Sir Derek Jacobi at BAM and I was really impressed. It was really dynamite, so beautifully acted. My friend and I agreed, poor King Lear had one hell of a shitty retirement. It’s there till June 5. The NY Times liked it:
I also went to another event there this week, called Eat Drink and be Literary and heard a Cuban American writer Cristina Garcia read from her books including Dreaming in Cuban. Also excellent.
BAM has impressive programming — even the movies at Cinematek…love it.
I saw that about the dancing, Pete. I’m going to that, I don’t care who calls me what.
Really I am completely nonplussed over this a$$hole at the IMF.
Hey, Slopey!!
“While you are focusing on this faux-socialist”
Please point out a real socialist.

None of you seem to think anything of this.
