I’m excited for the start of the Mets’ season as a distraction from the Knicks’ season. Maybe the Mets can trade the entire starting infield for an aging power hitter.
Seriously, if they are not going to adjust the outfield walls, they need to remake themselves into a speed/spray hitting/work the count/pitching and defense team. Something like the Cards of the mid-80s. Perhaps they are paert way there, but only part.
Is this the earliest opening day ever, M4L? I never remember a March opening day. Yes, I am looking forward to it. BTW, I really admire your loyalty but you can always become a Yankee fan….
not sure exactly where it is up in westchester…but when you drive down Taconic Pkwy – get to this one spot with pond or whatever small body of water and the whole area covered with geese. Never have seen so densely populated. Disgusting. Barely can see the pond and grass next to it. Has to be thousand.
Donatella, you getting a little excited for Baseball season yet? As a Mets fan, start of season is not something we look forward to as that means we can inccur loses now (vs. nothing counts in pre-season)
Had Sunday dinner yesterday and invited cousin, her husband and a couple of friends. Menu: roast beef, mashed potatoes, gravy, asparagus – had a nice salad with mustard vinegarette. (I really really wanted to make a roast even though plenty of other things would have been faster and less fuss.) Turned out great and we drank lots of wine and had great conversation. It was fun and everybody went home in a great mood. I love that.

I had a window seat in the GAP circle this morning.
There were only two crashes and sun shone through the droplets of dew.
Seems extra slow day – is everyone asleep this morning?
I know I am.

Lech, blog articles here is backing your move – albeit a bunch of the things/reasons are stuff you mentioned (ie the ps 107 wait list)

“lech, have to say the timing on your move to westchester is looking real real good”
I agree for a bunch of reasons. But why do you say so?
