DeLepp, it’s true. Everybody really loved it and ate a lot. It was great. I did it by convection. I made an eye round, but it is pretty lean and not too much drippings for gravy.
I need to organize my kitchen. I have everything, but was fumbling for things forgetting were I put some stuff. I don’t cook roasts everyday.
I don’t know what kind of fabric arkady other than to say they were identified as “heavy use” and cost about halfway between the least and most expensive options (DAMN the fabric adds a lot of $$ to the order!!!).
Re door handles, my cousin pressed the privacy button on the bathroom door and then slammed it (really don’t know how she managed this) but the door locked with noone in there. I have these fancy dancy crystal doorknobs and one of the guests figured out how to open it with a nail. 🙁
Geese are really aggressive. I used to work with kids in another era and I would take them to this pond and we would walk down there and sometimes the geese would get pissed and start running after them, honking and pecking. They’re horrible.
1. Replaced all of the door handles upstairs (2, 4 and 6 year old kids with bedroom doors that lock from the inside? No fucking way.)
2. Installed a new lighting fixture over the kitchen island (I love working with electricity).
3. Installed a new kitchen faucet (I like plumbing much less than electrical work).
4. Ordered area rugs for the living room.
5. Went to Ethan Allen and ordered (i) one classic camelback loveseat with a yellow and blue cross hatch type pattern and (ii) a somewhat more modern take on the camelback in a yellow and white floral pattern with blue accents on the flowers.
[And before DIBS starts giving me shit about the floral pattern, my female wife picked it out thank you very much]

dona, roasts are very festive. I too had an impromtu dinner party on saturday, blamming gin from friday night. Convection makes it faster.
