In Saudi Arabia which lives under strict Sharia law and which finances many of the Whabbii mosques abroad,
it is forbidden for women to do myriad things in public, including converse with a male who is not a relative.
As a “non-believer”, I am forbidden to even enter Mecca,
so please refrain from finding some sort of moral equivalence between the Christian based history of this nation today and a nation such as Saudi Arabia which seeks to live in the 8th century.
Chattanooga is kind of random and fun with kids, though your kid is probably not old enough to appreciate it yet. Stay in the Chattanooga Choo Choo Hotel. It’s the old train station and you can stay in a real train car on the tracks out back. Really awesome old Art Deco bar. Chattanooga also has one of the best aquariums in the United States, right on the banks of the Tennessee River, and it also has a really good children’s museum. Otherwise there isn’t much there but that all can easily fill up a weekend.
I think there is a 3rd choice, etson, which is a secular one, that says laws apply equally to all and no religion has the right to impose its views on others. Pretty much what we were trying for in the Constitution and Bill of rights.
I don’t see how less government would make the situation better or worse in that respect. If anything, without the government to impost equal rights, we would have gone back to the tyranny of the majority. Without government intervention, what would be the state of civil rights today? Because i don’t think the good people of the South would have dropped segregation without it.
I will make this as simple as possible so as not to turn this into a war of paragraphs:
If you are so against the idea of a Christian majority in the West “imposing its will” on the population,
surely you will rigorously stand up against “radical islamists” who seek to import Sharia law wholesale here to the US as they have in Europe already?
yes or no.
if yes, then you seem to be consistent in thought.
“Kentuck Knob.”
Been…same trip as falling water.
What’s with you and F.L. Wright, Jessi?
“I would love to do the houseboat thing for a few days.â€

Another simple but pertinent point,
