Going to do ashes tonight. Don’t know of any Churches here offering in & out ashes today. My own Church here is doing a 7.30 complete service.
On another thing, bike lane discussion was crazy as usual yesterday. I’m fairly indifferent to the lane, but the bike lane supporters on all the threads have been really rude & uncivil to / about the opponents. Seems that the vitriol is biased in that direction.
Last time I got ashes was when I lived in Manhattan…walked by St pat’s and saw an incredibly long line and remembered but then ducked in and out of the Episcopal church next to our offices (no lines, same words).
You know what’s a really nice bike lane? The Croton Aqueduct.
The OT is not the place for bicycle discussions.
There seems to be plenty of vitriol going around in all directions in the bike lane debate.
I have read once case of opponents sending a legal notice to a blog to have a comment taken down.
etson, bicyclists carrying more baggage them those messenger bags

I did see the laugh In discussion but was too tired to participate.

Growing up, my mother was not too good at being Catholic, so we rarely did the Ash Wednesday thing.
