  1. dave re: taxes, i opened up the envelope you sent. you didn’t type up the forms, you hand wrote it all. doesnt the IRS frown upon hand written forms, especially if you don’t have perfect penmenship? i know for a fact i have a difficult time reading peoples handwriting and even sometimes their print, all looks like chickenscratch to me sometimes unless it’s typed up or printed out. i guess it should be okay. also i saw a commercial this morning about the earned income tax credit or something? working advantage tax credit? ugh i totally forgot what it was, but the people in the commercial looked kinda poor so i figure maybe ill qualify for this tax credit too? you might need to redo my taxes.

most people who choose to bike to work would otherwise be taking the train.. it’s not like they’d be switching from taking a car… i’d imagine? i mean yeah less cars definitely good thing, but it’s not like people who have to drive for whatever reason up and decide to bike it (im sure some do tho and good for them) but most of them would just be on the train. however, please dont get me started with people who take their bikes on the train during rush hour (ive only seen this on the 6 train tho)
and yeah i too am tired of bike lane discussions. personally i would be happy as pig in shit if bikes AND cars were all voted off the f’ing island. they are all annoying

  3. I believe in providing a safer alternative and greater access to people choosing to ride a bicycle and other initiatives aimed at trying to make this city more environmentally friendly, but that’s just me. I frankly don’t understand the vitriol some car owners have against all cyclists, not just the law-breaking, obnoxious ones, who are in the minority.

Having said that, I’m doing my best to avoid the bike lane discussions now as I’ve learned that very few people on this board will ever change their opinions on such matters. Same applies to politics, religion, architecture, etc. Going to try to stick to sexually-charged innuendos, bad puns, corny one-liners and alcohol-induced anecdotes.

  4. i had an INSANE 99 year old italian teacher as my homeroom teacher one year of high school. one ash wednesday i thought it would be ha ha to wipe my finger on the floor and ash up my forehead. he flipped out and kicked me out of homeroom and told me never to come back! i was terrified i thought i was going to get suspended or something. luckily nothing ever came of it (not that what i did was illegal.. i guess a little un PC, but PC wasn’t that big of a deal back then anyway). anyway, what is the ash for? i did get real ash a few times on my forehead as a kid tho. they hand you a corn husk or corn stalk or something as well>
