“Recently I’ve been thinking live well til the money runs out, don’t have kids (terrible thing to do to them), and then jump off a bridge. ”
Jessi, Hire me as your therapist, $150 per hour.
Also hire me as your investment manager, 20% of the gain (quaterly)plus 2% of assets under management (annually).
PLUSAs, there’s still time to vote. That said, it’s so rare that we have something approaching consensus at one of our weekly PLUSA meetings (and, kudos to cobble for the nice spread this morning).
1. The blog’s content, excepting the OT, has been stale and boring lately.
B. Most PLUSAs, excepting dave and Scott (and God only knows with whom they’re sleeping to get their trash picked up), have had horrendous trash pick-up since the Christmas Blizzard.
We’ll wait for all the votes to be cast and then petition Mayor Brownstoner and Mayor Bloomberg.
“as a favor to a group of Satmars that he got to know, he owned a place on 60th street in Bensonhurst and rented out an apartment to them, which served as a “screw pad”.”
LOL, Benson. I heard that about Williamsburg Jewish men. They are horny motherf*ckers (no pun intended – don’t know if they’re into MILF’s 🙂 )
“In my grammar school, there was a classmate who was an abolute idiot and bully. I couldn’t stand him. Years later we had a reunion, and we went around the table and talked about what we were doing. When he said that he had taken over the family “waste management business”, I understood.”
benson,
One thing’s for sure,
the private “carting” businesses get the job done
snow or no snow. ;o)
……there was another guy I grew up with in Gravesend who was also “connected”, as we say. Unlike the guy I just mentioned, he was highly charming, and fun to be with. I still see him in the neighborhood from time-to-time, and he tells me what he is up to. His stories are sometimes a riot. Here’s a couple:
-for a long time, he was the “point man” between the Mafia and the Satmar Hasidics. Yes, that’s right, the Satmar Hasidics in Williamsburg. They had some “dealings”, shall we say.
-as a favor to a group of Satmars that he got to know, he owned a place on 60th street in Bensonhurst and rented out an apartment to them, which served as a “screw pad”.
“they can be, but they can also be asset and money makers if you know how to work the system.”
if “working the system” involves welfare and going to some gov’t office, waiting in line, and being around poor hue-mons, i’ll pass. too lazy
