I had a friend who was on a raw food diet for years. Even he finally decided it wasn’t healthy. Imagine going to Argentina, the beef capitol of the world, with a raw foodist! He managed to find the only raw foods restaurant in South America thought. (Oh, and he’s not a cat.)
No, in fact, adult cats more often then not will be the best as you have some ability to see their personality as opposed to kittens
Also, if you do get one or two, stick them in their own closed rooom for days or week or so…however long it takes them to get comfortable in new surroundings, before giving them the run of the house.
We’ve always gotten shelter cats and they’ve been fantastic.
DH, I love it, a “chill” cat, lol!
cobble, I’m hungry. Where’s dinner? I thought you made chili and bought bread today? I’d like to be served in my tent, please.
While it pains me to join in Cat Chat, I agree with dave about adopting a rescue.
“”raw food diet”
Too much work.
“super expensive”
No.”

The two siamese my very good friend had were very sweet cats. Not mean.
cool – i’m gonna look into it. it would be cool to adopt an adult siamese cat (not interested in running after crazy kittens) who is chill.

“some people like a nice hairless….eh, nevermind”
“Yeah totally hairless cat is not cool. I prefer a landing strip.”
Either one works.

“I always assumed animals from shelters were skanky and had emotional problems. Is that not true?”
they can be (we got a few messed up cats back in the day) – but i think you’re more likely to find a messed up dog at a shelter.
