  1. if you go the shelter route, expect them be super nosey and ask you all kinds of questions that you might not be comfortable answering. i was rejected three times from shelters trying to adopt a dog. two of those times tho it may have been cuz i started out asking if they’d waive the adoption fee (which i think is ABSURD to begin with), they should be paying YOU to take the animals, not the other way around… and yes i know they have to survive too, but still. my dog sorta landed in my lap, it was a last minute spur of the moment decision, that i dont regret. and it’s cool kinda sorta knowing where he came from. but i think that’s why me and my dog more consider each other friends and roommates than master/human type of thing. i cant imagine being a master of a dog, sounds absurd to me. i had a bunny for a few years, he was awesome, but well, very boring, but i bought him at the pet store and quite honestly he may have been inbred.

I am a Libra with Scorpio rising. That means anything, but basically that I am fabulous.”

dona-TEL-la, I meant to tell you earlier that I think you’re fabulous! 😉

  3. Dave, the deal with cocoa is that there is a political/ looks like soon to be military crisis in the Ivory Coast, the world’s largest cocoa producer. A few weeks ago, there was a presidential election, overseen and results certified by the UN. The incumbent officially lost. He wasn’t pleased by this and decided not to leave and to hang onto the army, which expressed his displeasure by shooting into crowds of demonstrators last week. (killed 26 people). The UN, the US, the IMF (!! with the $$) says that the challenger is the winner and supports him. The challenger today said that military force is probably the only way to get this guy out. So that is what happened today — we broke out on that news. That is what is moving the market — yeah, consumption is up and the dollar whips it around, but the market is moving on the IC news. I do not know of an ETF – cocoa is a small market. I would buy March call options (on futures) or call spreads. .

We may get cats when we move. I suppose I have a slight preference for dogs but I refuse to walk around behind some animal picking up its feces several times a day. That’s just uncivilized. I’ve always been amazed by these New Yorkers who are all prissy and well dressed and whatnot but they have no problem following around some lower life form and picking up its fresh steaming turds.

that’s what dog walkers are for!!!! and cats are worse cuz you gotta go diggin’ thru sand to find their little turds. (IN YOUR HOUSE) how is it any different? sorry that is grosser. i dont even let friends poop in my apartment, why would i allow an animal?

  5. My partner’s first cat was in the “about to be euthanized” section. he had tail damage and originally came in with a cracked skull. He made the most wonderful cat, immediately accepting of the burmese that was already there. We taught him to sit and shake later in life.
