Lechacal, many of us have said before that you may not be finding what you seem to be looking for by moving to Westchester. Do you want us to beg for you to stay?
benson–whether you like it or not this episode will have a negative impact on Sarah Palin’s public standing, as it will on anyone who has engaged in the kind of overheated rhetoric that has led us to this impasse in our political dialogue. Certainly there are practitioners of this kind on the left as well but Palin is the one who has traded on this kind of thing to get where she is and she will reap what she has sowed.
I will stick up for Biden in this case. I don’t think it is a waste of taxpayer money for the VP to visit a war zone. Even if nothing substantive is accomplished, I believe it helps our troops’ morale to see their leaders in the flesh.
A moment of silence for the victims is still a good idea. The saddest is the 9 year old child, who was interested in watching how politics worked. A respected judge out food shopping, and some senior citizens who made it this far, only to die in a supermarket parking lot. What a world.

OK, I’ll leave it alone for today.

So, jackal, a house within a few minutes walk from the train station sounds like it could work. How did you like the house itself?
