  1. I know a brilliant chemist. He’s almost completely unable to speak to mere mortals. He is beyond intelligent, he speaks in factoids. Emotions aren’t in his vocabulary. His children aren’t exactly warm and fuzzy either.

Thanks, rf. That would be lovely, I really appreciate your offer.

But I have to fling myself back into the kitchen and bake tomorrow. I’m nowhere near done. I have one more big order, one medium order, and then I want to finally bake for my family/friends.

  2. If you really want to find out if the American people want to fight a war, ask them to pay for it. Remember what happened to McCain when he suggested it?

Vietnam destroyed the economy for years, and it looks like Iraq has done the same.

  3. bxgrl’s argument summarized:

Iraq was wrong because the intelligence which all the major intelligence agencies signed off on was flawed.
Who knew that Saddam’s own military was fooling him?

Iraq was wrong because Bush is always “wrong”.

Therefore any possibility of a good outcome is null and void, regardless of present day facts.

    ok. :o)

  4. bxgrl, read what I posted at 6:15 that you conveniently left out of your first rant against me. If you don’t understand all of what I wrote, best not to comment at all. You took it upon yourself to elevate my suggestion of going beyond conventional weapons all the way to nuclear. Is that how all of you liberals think logically???

  5. bxgrl,
I’m trying to leave here but I’ll respond to this one:

“If Iraq becomes a true democracy in 50 years, that means we succeeded? By then who cares.”
    by bxgrl

The point is bxgrl, Iraq is a democracy now.
but because of your blind hatred of all things Bush, you refuse to give any credence to the possibility that Iraq could remain a stable Democratic nation.
This is arguing from an emotional perspective as opposed to an objective reality based on historical precedent.

  6. She sounds amazing, Lech. I had a cousin like that- he was about 30 years older than me and my sister and blazingly brilliant. Was an assistant to Einstein actually and worked on the atomic bomb (we had an original photo of the test on Bikini Atoll). Not good with people. I used to wonder how he could even speak to us lesser mortals.
