Legion ask yourself what sort of government would Iraq have right now if we were not there? Ask yourself how much more money and lives will we pour into Iraq to keep that government in office because we imposed it on them. Did we even take into real account the differences in culture, history and religion when we did this? No, we didn’t.

my interpretation is based on three sucessful elections in Iraq in which women were allowed to vote as well.

Yes, Denton, that was how mothers of big families made it work. One time somebody made some comment to me about how I wouldn’t know xy or z about certain things that come up with children since I didn’t have kids. HA! I thought that was a riot. I did everything with kids, including infants — feeding, cleaning, bathing, putting to bed; my mother laughs because I was chief diagnostician — ” no stitches, I think a butterfly will do on this one”. One brother was very physically aggressive and always falling out of trees, getting hit with rocks, and was a gigantic scab for the first decade of his life and it was my job sometimes to decide whether we needed a trip to the emergency room! haha.

I would have to say you have chosen to selectively rewrite history. Is Iraq a stable democracy? That can’t be answered for now but you’re sidestepping the entire issue of what we did and its cost. We far outmatched Iraqi deaths with Saddam. We destabilized the region, they are under constant terrorist attack,. What business did we have invading them? None. Yet you cling to the old party line. You were sold a bill of goods, legion, and it can’t be pried from your hands.
