I don’t think so DIBS. Each article of clothing was under $100 (the coat was 99.99) and I paid $5.60 in tax. OTOH that is lower than usual tax rate… maybe it’s just a reduced rate rather than full tax holiday?
We took a trip once to Martha’s Vineyard two decades ago, back when you could get on the ferry without advance booking. That black dog thing was already nuts. The t-short changed color every year and you established your MV bona fides by the color of the shirt (i.e just how long ago you discovered the Black Dog). Hence the yacht.
– Black Dog t-shirts
– The little round euro style stickers on the back of the car
– Any expensive article of clothing with a really big obvious logo so everyone around you can know that you are wearing an expensive article of clothing
– A time share
There is this guy in my office who used to mutter to himself when he was walking around. But everyone does that to some extent or other. At least here. But then he started to get worse. I think he gets a little drunk at lunch and now he talks to himself openly. Walking by my desk, in the hallway, muttering at his desk.
He is actually a pretty nice guy but I think he is losing it…..

DIBS, think it’s time Xing gave you a refresher on art of the deal – Chinaman style.

Today I purchased a winter coat, scarf, and hat. Total amount spent including tax: $133.57.
Is it machine washable?
Things that decrease your class standing:

– The little round euro style stickers on the back of the car

Things that increase your class standing:
– I have no idea, ask someone with class
