Gem, congratulations!!! Whatever gets you the job. Glad you’re feeling better. Don’t worry about the bump, buy a blazer, hides many bulges. See if you’re eligible for WIC. Will you need a sitter this summer? I know a certain 15-year-old-to-be who has nothing going on this summer and great references.
Yesterday I took the Champs to Chinatown Fair at 8 Mott Street, one of the few remaining old school video arcades in the city. It gave them an idea of where they may want to run away to if they’re too old for Chuck E. Cheese’s when they leave. It also served as a flashback for me to my adolescence when I would hang out at places like that for hours.
On a more wholesome note, there’s a dumpling place that serves 5 dumplings for $1.25 right across from the big park in Chinatown (close to the funeral home and Dunkin Donuts). The dumplings are delicious!

The most awful thing about work is when you end up working for someone and can never get anything they ask you to do “right”. It’s even worse when it’s ONLY that one person, but everyone else is pleased. There always has to be one.
dh, kid that works for me said he went to a karaoke joint up in bburg over the weekend. Lulu’s near n 6th and Metro? He said it was all hiphop karaoke, if there is such a thing.
DH I have loud kids. No way am I in a position to complain about other people being loud. The arrangement is this: you keep me up all night, my kids wake you up at 5 am.
Biff, I know that dumpling place! There are others further east in Fujian territory.

I wish I had a dollar for every time the movie 2001 A Space Odyssey was referred to as “deep, man” between 1966 and 1970.

I’ve been on a movie kick lately. Seeing a lot of movies I’ve always intended to but haven’t had the time to see.
2001 A Space Odyssey is far and away the best one I’ve seen on this current kick. I give it an A+. Amazing in so many ways.

How long is long? dibs wants to know.
