Hi 1910- wow, your dad must have some serious tales to tell. The movie was based on a semi-autobiographical book by J.G. Ballard, the sci-fi writer. My uncle was in the Middle for the war, and I don’t know where my other uncles or cousins were stationed then.

A good contemporary writer to Ballard was John Espey.
