U.S. House Panel Denies Rangel Request For Ethics Trial Delay
Nov. 15 (Bloomberg) — The U.S. House ethics committee denied Representative Charles Rangel’s request that his ethics trial be delayed because he doesn’t have a lawyer.
Rangel, a New York Democrat accused of violating House rules, asked for the delay today as his trial began.
Rangel told the committee that he needed time to set up a legal defense fund and raise money before he could afford to pay an attorney. Rangel said he has spent about $2 million on legal fees and can’t afford to pay more now.
Yesterday’s game was one of the best Ranger games ever. Fights, crazy skating, Gaborek hat trick, Frolov scoring 2 goals. Nice game, too bad I wasn’t there live.
