For the first time in memory, I actually bought a product yesterday based on a TV commercial. (More surprising that I didn’t fast forward through the commercial.) Big recommendation for Sensodyne Iso-Active toothpaste. It’s got these teeth-whitening scrubbing bubbles. Anyway, it’s great, and works just like they said on the commercial it would.
OK, forget Inglorious Basterds and the Deer Hunter. I’ll tell you what rules, and I’m totally serious. Season 3 of Drake and Josh, especially the sheep episode. Yes, it’s just a sit com for kids, but really well done. Super crisp writing, great physical comedy, they know how to milk a premise for all it’s got. And no lazy sitcom-mouth gratuitous insults. Jokes, gags, including insults are all in character and plot-driven. You can stream it on Netflix. Would suggest watching an episode or 2 before the sheep episode so you get the set up, if you are so inclined.
I bought last minute tix to the Rangers game yesterday and took Champ #1, who is a huge hockey fan and had never been to a game before. It was Kids’ Day, the Rangers won 8-2 and there was a huge fight with approximately 8 minutes left. Something for everyone! There is no better sport to watch live.
