CGar…we started with brunch at 2:30 and three bottles of wine then went to Dirty franks for BMs and then switched to beers. I was still drunk when I was on the train this morning.
We had white truffles on fettucini on Friday night…it was heavenly.
Then had a very cheap meal at my favorite Mexican place on Sat…LOTS of eye candy!!!!
jackal, I would add Roald Dahl’s books to Arkady’s and Slopey’s recommendations. Among my fave books as a kid were James and the Giant Peach, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

dave, I was at a Bar Mitzvah on Saturday, and there was a great Open Bar, so I spent the day pounding Stoli Bloody Marys. They went down so easily that the Stoli didn’t hit me until it was too late.
You see that all the time, 1910, parents who play roughly with their kids, encourage them to be physical, active, yelling and then we all know it is a very short walk from that state….to pushing, hitting, crying. Then the kids get screamed at, whacked, etc. It is painful to watch.
My favorite Ikea item: frozen meatballs. Ingredients are just meat and spices, not a hundred chemicals, and it’s a great option when you need to make dinner quickly for 3 kids.

I’ve heard others speak positively about the Ikea frozen meatballs.

Lech, Ikea sells frozen meatballs to take home? are you talking about those swedish meatballs?
