Caught up on yesterday’s discussion…Jackal – I voice strong opposition to Sarah Palin for the same reason that I do against Hasidic Jews – I don’t want people to think I’m like her/them.”
Totally consistent with what I was saying yesterday. That’s why women hate on her so hard. They wouldn’t hate on a guy who says that stuff (like Joe Miller) anywhere near as hard.
It’s like how I’m hardest on really liberal white people from New England.
Liberal women hate on Palin extra hard because she is a woman. I still stand behind that statement.
“So Republicans should definitely fear the Tea Party effect at the national level I think.”
Wasder;
In my way of thinking, this is a disingenuous statement. Are you really interested in advising the Republicans on the best way forward, given that you are a fairly committed liberal?
I’ll only speak for myself: I don’t offer the Democrats and liberals advice. My interest is in advancing conservatism, and I only speak to that interest.
There were parts of the UWS that were very rough.It started erally coming back in the 80’s. There were SRO’s all over the city and they were a huge problem. I think that was also when the City (State?) released so many people from the mental hospitals for lack of money. The 80’s were horrible for NYC
Gosh wasder- got to watch that analytical thinking. How dare a committed liberal like yourself use your brain and discuss politics?

a business that grosses 300k is going to have a net profit of a fraction of that. Unless selling your body of course.
I generally like Rand Paul. Mostly because I agree that government intrudes unnecessarily into our private lives.
