  1. Pete, if I tell you that you have a right to vote, but you have to bring two documents with proof of ID, pay a $350 registration fee, show up in person at city hall in order to present your application, submit to an interview, and then wait about 6 months, would you consider that to be an effective right to vote?

  2. Dogs are better people than humans.

I don’t go near certain types of big dog either by myself or with my little doggie for the reason that big dogs, Pit Bulls, Rottweilers, Shepards, and Doberman Pinschers have enormous power and potential for deliberate (bad owner fault) or unintential harm. Powerful dog owners sometimes are very insulted if I steer clear.

I Lived in a house with a Doberman who flunked out of guard dog school and was sold as a pet. Sweet as sugar. She barked at someone on the street who was taunting her, roommate went to hold on her collar to control her as he was supposed to and got his hand in her mouth by accident. Dog realized what had happened and put her ears down, slunk to the ground, and rolled over begging forgiveness. Roommate had to go to the emergency room for stitches nevertheless.

  4. the gun question was for ishtar and her opinion of gov’t intrusion. (also I have no idea what any of those guns are anyway). But what infringes on right to bear arms?
Asking for registration? proof of sanity ? non-criminal?
when can take away that right? — such as if you donate $$$ to so-called terrorist sympathetic organizations?
