  1. then back to the other question… is there any limit on what sort of arm you have right to without infringing?
when can you revoke that right? mental state? criminality? material support for group labeled terrorist by the government?

  2. “i was supposed to get a second set of shots for rabies but i never went back for them.”

Travis better bring Lechecal’s sawed-off shotgun just in case Rob goes Old Yeller at the next gathering.

what would be reason/prupose for asking that for gun/hand grenade?”

To defend myself against tyranny. Exactly what the 2nd amendment is all about.

    The people are sovereign, right?

And sovereignty is the monopoly over violence, right?

So then if the state has a monopoly over violence, how can the people be sovereign?

The people cannot be sovereign if they must look to the state for the exercise of lawful violence. And that is why I need my guns. To exercise lawful violence, like shooting people who want to do bad things to me, without having to ask for help from the state.

Like it or not, that is why we have the second amendment.

  4. Not commenting on pit bulls per se, but to say certain breeds of dogs aren’t prone to certain behaviors is the ignorant statement Rob.

dog breeds didn’t just drop out of the sky (unless you’re a creationist or something). They were selected and bred for both physical and behavioral characteristics over a few hundred years.

A dogs “upbringing” is layered on top of that, and there is a certain degree of variation within a population, but dog’s brains aren’t somehow the only organ miraculously protected from the consequences of human-determined genetic selection. Thats why you’ll often find terriers, selected for hunting rats and rabbits, are agressive. Of course there’s only so much harm a terrier can do to an adult human.
